I’m back! Sorry for the long departure from the blog, life truly has been on a rollercoaster and I’m finally able to sit down and say hello in my new role as a wife – the new Mrs Duckworth.
So what’s been going on, where have I been? There have been many things keeping me busy over the last 6+ weeks, one of the biggest changes being I became a wife. I married the most wonderful, kind hearted and amazing man in September and have been floating on cloud nine since. I’m afraid to say this post will have nothing to do with food, health or fitness but will be completely related to my wedding. Maybe you will find this exciting?!?!…or perhaps this is just for me, either way I would love to share a little bit of my special day with you and what’s been going on lately.

With my super dad pre-wedding!
It’s funny business getting married!
We recently received our wedding pictures from our amazing wedding photographer Ryan Browne (ryan-browne.co.uk) so I would love to share a sneak peak of some of them to you. He did such a fantastic job of capturing the day that we are over the moon with the pictures. We had such an amazing day, it really was beautiful, wonderful and utterly perfect, we honestly couldn’t have wanted anymore. The day went smoothly, it was relaxed and completely chilled, and I remember every single minute of that day from the nice crisp fresh morning walk with the dogs around the forest at our venue to the end of the day feeling full of love and life surrounded by family and friends who made us feel on top of the world. I’m sure every bride feels ridiculously lucky to have married their man, and I truly do feel that way. My husband (still getting used to that) is one very special man who I treasure with all my heart, he has shown me a lot over the years in our relationship and helped me find my way in this crazy world. I am so grateful to have found him and feel truly a lucky lady to have married this incredible soul of a man.
Another part that was great about our day was the venue allowed dogs to stay which was a huge bonus for us. My boys (aka furry children aka dogs) are a huge part of my life and are more than “just a dog”, so having them involved in some elements of our special day meant a lot to us. We didn’t have them in the ceremony as that would have been too manic but they were a part of the rest of the day which made it even more special. Being surrounded by my fur babies, family and close friends made the day beautiful and utterly blissful, I will treasure every moment with my husband as we continue our new journey as man and wife.

Oh and another bonus: they catered to my food desires! Which meant amazing salads, potatoes, veggie kebab sticks and a ridiculously delicious couscous veggie salad that I ate tonnes of at the meal and in the evening. We hired a fab cake lady who made a three tiered naked cake decorated with beautiful flowers to match my bouquet and then there was a special dairy-free, egg-free and gluten-free cake for me to devour. YUM! (See there was a bit of food talk).

Overall, it was a perfect day. I feel truly honoured to have been surrounded by our close loved ones at a beautiful location with my super dogs as I tearfully said “I do” to my amazing man. My husband. I’m enjoying life as a wife and am beyond excited to enjoy our journey together.
I shall continue to feed my husband lots of glorious food whilst honouring my role as a wife to look after the household and ensure we are all full of good wholesome grub.
